The museum’s variety of themes makes it particularly interesting for families. Children of all ages will find something to do and explore. While marvelling at the over 1,000 exhibits ranging from a small beetle to a mighty bear, they will not notice the time passing.
Good to know:
- The particularly interesting exhibits in the permanent exhibition can be found at children’s eye level.
- Furs for stroking, a table for drawing pictures, a torch and a spyglass to search for animals, a pedigree puzzle, a circuit of songs and more wait for inquisitive little hands and minds.
- Besides the permanent exhibition (which has been translated into both French and English), the museum also runs a special exhibition and a cabinet exhibition every year (both available in German only).
- Prams can be left in the foyer.
- Bicycle trailers can be parked outside the front entrance.
- A baby changing table is available in the public toilet in the foyer.
